Heirloom tomatoes at the height of their season in the late summer are delicious on their own, but this toast with a roasted garlic vegan cream cheese makes them taste even more divine. The season only lasts a little longer, so don’t let it go by without trying this toast recipe!

Heirloom Tomato Toast with Roasted Garlic Vegan Cream Cheese
Serves 1
Total Time: 25 mins if making the roasted garlic; 5 mins if it is already prepared
Ingredients:
1 slice gluten-free bread (I used B Free multi-grain sandwich bread)
1 tbsp Roasted Garlic Vegan Cream Cheese
2 slices heirloom tomatoes, cut 1/4″-1/3″ thick (any color or type is fine)
3-4 fresh basil leaves
drizzle olive oil
freshly cracked salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Toast the bread to your desired level. Spread the Roasted Garlic Vegan Cream Cheese on the toast. Top with the slices of heirloom tomato and basil. Drizzle the olive oil over the tomatoes, add freshly cracked salt and pepper, and enjoy!
