This gluten-free vegan toast is a sweet and fun way to start your day. Super simple to make and kid-friendly, with healthy ingredients, this recipe is sure to be a winner in your house!

Strawberry Ricotta Toast
Serves 1
Total Time: 5-7 mins
Ingredients:
1 slice gluten-free bread (I used B Free, which has a great longer style multi-grain bread)
3 strawberries (organic is best)
2 tbsp Kite Hill vegan ricotta
5-7 raw hazelnuts
drizzle of honey
dash cinnamon
Instructions:
Toast the bread to your liking. While the bread is toasting, slice the strawberries into 4-5 slices per strawberry, and chop the hazelnuts into small pieces. When the toast is ready, spread on the ricotta and then top with the strawberry slices and chopped hazelnuts. Drizzle the honey over top and then add the cinnamon and enjoy!
Note: You may wonder why I don’t toast the hazelnuts. While this does add flavor, roasting nuts can also release carcinogen compounds, and so I limit how often I eat roasted nuts as a result. Raw hazelnuts are tasty too!
